Information We Collect

When you use Probe, we collect:

• Phone number — for OTP-based authentication.
• Photos you submit — sent to our AI service for scene analysis. A compressed thumbnail of your photo is stored on our servers so you can review past analyses in your case file history.
• Analysis results — the text output of scene analyses (narrative, deductions, annotations, timeline) is stored to provide your history.

We do not collect email, contacts, location, or any device sensor data beyond the camera when you explicitly capture a photo.

How We Use Your Data

• Analyze scenes you photograph or upload using AI vision models.
• Store analysis results and photo thumbnails so you can review past cases in your history.
• Authenticate your account via one-time SMS codes (Twilio Verify).
• Enforce daily usage limits (3 free analyses per day).

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Data Storage & Security

Analysis text and photo thumbnails are stored in encrypted databases. Full-resolution photos are sent to the AI model for processing and are not retained after analysis. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device. All communication uses HTTPS.

Third-Party Services

• Twilio — SMS delivery for OTP verification. Twilio Privacy Policy.
• OpenRouter / OpenAI — AI vision model for scene analysis. Images are sent to the model API for processing. OpenRouter Privacy Policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. This permanently removes all your analysis history and account data from our servers.

Children's Privacy

Probe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
