Information We Collect

When you use Probe, we collect:

• Phone number — for OTP-based authentication.
• Photos you submit — used for web-platform evidence workflows. We may store the uploaded image, thumbnail, and metadata for case review and report history.
• Analysis results — the text output of scene analyses (narrative, deductions, annotations, timeline) is stored to provide your history.

We do not collect email, contacts, financial data, or device telemetry beyond the data needed for upload and authentication.

How We Use Your Data

• Run web-platform AI-assisted analysis over evidence photos and metadata.
• Store analysis results and case vault records so you can review reports and compare cases over time.
• Authenticate your account via one-time SMS codes (Twilio Verify).
• Enable mobile companion capture and upload for on-device image acquisition.
• Support monthly analysis credits (3 free monthly analysis credits on the web platform).

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Data Storage & Security

Analysis text is stored in the application database. Probe also stores case images associated with your history, including a compressed thumbnail, uploaded source image, and metadata in protected application storage. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device. All communication uses HTTPS.

Third-Party Services

• Twilio — SMS delivery for OTP verification. Twilio Privacy Policy.
• OpenRouter / OpenAI — AI vision model for scene analysis. Images are sent to the model API for processing. OpenRouter Privacy Policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from profile settings. Account deletion removes your account records and associated case data from the application database; stored object cleanup follows the platform deletion workflow.

Children's Privacy

Probe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
